Even though it’s only February here in California, it’s basically spring, and has been for quite a while. We didn’t really get a taste of winter this year, and I’m certainly not complaining. Though, with the absence of the usual cold(ish) weather, I found the need to update my spring/summer wardrobe far sooner than anticipated. And that starts with swimwear.
From bell and balloon to ruffled and tied, sleeves have taken a new shape this season, turning our once basic button-downs and off-the-shoulder tops into true statement pieces. I was a little wary of this trend at first, thinking it could totally throw off my petite figure—but boy was I wrong. Once I tried it, I instantly knew why so many fashion it-girls were backing it—it’s the perfect way to add some personality to your everyday looks without going too over the top (pun intended).
An all-American classic, gingham is making its way into our wardrobes once again for the spring/summer seasons. It was widely apparent on the runways last fall that this trend was going to be major, so to no surprise, basically everyone’s been sporting it.
