My closet, and probably most of yours, is a pretty equal mix of classic pieces and current trends. Though I do like to invest in quality basics and fast-fashion pieces, sometimes I just want something that’s a little bit of both—timeless yet totally of the moment. That’s where Chloe Oliver comes in.
Soon enough, America will be celebrating its 241st birthday, and might I say, does she look good. Since the Fourth of July holiday (unfortunately) falls on a Tuesday this year, most of us will probably be celebrating the weekend before, which is THIS WEEKEND believe it or not.
From bell and balloon to ruffled and tied, sleeves have taken a new shape this season, turning our once basic button-downs and off-the-shoulder tops into true statement pieces. I was a little wary of this trend at first, thinking it could totally throw off my petite figure—but boy was I wrong. Once I tried it, I instantly knew why so many fashion it-girls were backing it—it’s the perfect way to add some personality to your everyday looks without going too over the top (pun intended).
An all-American classic, gingham is making its way into our wardrobes once again for the spring/summer seasons. It was widely apparent on the runways last fall that this trend was going to be major, so to no surprise, basically everyone’s been sporting it.
Festival season is officially here, and even though I may not be heading to the desert like the rest of SoCal, I can still take some outfit inspiration from those who are. As an Angelino for many years, I definitely had my fair share of Coachella—it’s an experience I’ll never forget.
French-girl style is something that all us fashion lovers aim to achieve. There’s an ease and coolness about the way they carry themselves that perfectly translates into their everyday attire. Because my personal style leans more casual, I tend to take a lot of inspiration from the Parisian streets. Even though I may never quite embody that je ne sais quoi that comes so naturally to them, I can try to emulate it through my wardrobe.
