My closet, and probably most of yours, is a pretty equal mix of classic pieces and current trends. Though I do like to invest in quality basics and fast-fashion pieces, sometimes I just want something that’s a little bit of both—timeless yet totally of the moment. That’s where Chloe Oliver comes in.
Although sometimes taboo, the old saying ‘opposites attract’ does ring true, especially in the fashion world. Things that aren’t technically supposed to go together oftentimes make the best combination. Ergo, lace and leather. Who doesn’t remember Britney’s infamous song off of her comeback album Circus? And even though Britney doesn’t alwaaays get it right (she’s been spotted on the worst dressed list just once or twice), this time, she was right on the money.
I recently traveled to Birmingham, Alabama for the 18th annual Sidewalk Film Festival. I absolutely loved being back in the South and exploring a new city for the first time. Our weekend consisted of watching amazing indie movies, eating delicious BBQ and attending event after event alongside fellow filmmakers. With our itinerary so jam-packed, versatility was key when it came to styling choices.
Although fall may be here in the fashion world, summer is definitely still here in the real world. Dressing for the heat can be tough when you want to stay cool and comfortable but also look somewhat put-together. Luckily, I found a way to do both.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably noticed the tropical fruit that’s been taking over the summer style scene. Pineapples have been spotted on everything from tees to totes, pool floats and more. Although I don’t normally succumb to the latest food crazes, this is one I can definitely get into.
