THE BEST RED BOOTIES FOR THE HOLIDAYS

THE BEST RED BOOTIES FOR THE HOLIDAYS

If there’s one color that screams ‘happy holidays’, it’s definitely red. I personally have always been a fan of this classic shade, though I do prefer it in moderation, as too much can turn you into a Santa Claus doppelgänger real quick.

I fell in LOVE with these red pointed-toe booties when I spotted them in Zara at South Coast Plaza. They’re the perfect way to rock the shade and, considering the price, are surprisingly comfortable. I’ve been searching for a pair of kitten heel booties in a statement color like this, but didn’t want to spend too much, as I think they might be more of a trend piece rather than a wardrobe staple. For $39.90, I can wear this pair just a few times a season and still feel like I got my money’s worth.

I decided to pair them with a head-to-toe black look (H&M sweater and Urban Outfitters BDG jeans) to really make them pop. Finished with a red lip and my new sherpa backpack (also from Zara), I was ready for a day in Downtown LA. My mom was visiting for the holidays, so we headed over to theatre row to see the play ‘Something Rotten‘ at the Ahmanson, which I highly recommend! While we were there, we of course had to hop over to the Walt Disney Concert Hall next door, which is not only an amazing architectural landmark, but one of the most popular photo ops in Los Angeles, and for good reason. It was the perfect backdrop to make my red booties really pop.
