WHAT TO WEAR FOR FOURTH OF JULY

WHAT TO WEAR FOR FOURTH OF JULY

Soon enough, America will be celebrating its 241st birthday, and might I say, does she look good. Since the Fourth of July holiday (unfortunately) falls on a Tuesday this year, most of us will probably be celebrating the weekend before, which is THIS WEEKEND believe it or not. Alan and I were invited to a friend’s shrimp boil in LA on Saturday (my first, which I’m REALLY excited about), so our plans are taken care of. The next step was finding the perfect outfit for the occasion. I wanted something patriotic (obvi), but didn’t want it to look like I wrapped myself in an American flag.

This Kimchi Blue red polka-dot dress from Urban Outfitters was just what I was looking for. I actually spotted it online a while back and thought it was really cute, but when I saw it featured on Julia Engel via Who What Wear as an affordable blogger must-have, I was instantly sold. It works for any Fourth of July celebration, whether you’re heading to the beach, hosting a BBQ or on a rooftop in the city. But it doesn’t end there—I’ll be wearing this bad boy any chance I get ’til the end of the summer season. Because it’s such a classic, I’ll probably be pulling it back out for next year, too.

Shop this dress and more Fourth of July-worthy frocks from Urban Outfitters via the links above! Oh yeah, and Happy (early) Birthday America!
